Hi there! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC), and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC), and the founder of Embrace Recovery Counseling LLC. I received my B.S. from Louisiana State University in 2011 in Microbiology, moved to New Orleans in 2012 to join the LSUHSC PhD program in Microbiology, Immunology, and Parasitology, and received my M.Ed. from the University of New Orleans in 2021 in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Throughout my career changes, research has been a guiding force. In its own way, research is like a love letter to humanity, always believing that there is more to understand, support, build, and rebuild. I’m a lifelong learner, and an unabashed nerd.

Prior to opening Embrace Recovery Counseling LLC, I have worked in mental health and substance abuse inpatient and outpatient settings, and specialized in supporting families through the crisis that accompanies acute treatment needs. As a clinician, I am especially interested in the treatment of attachment-based wounding that so often accompanies people living with or near addiction. I seek to honor your experience, and help you build a life that gives you peace.

As a lifelong Louisiana resident, I’m passionate about supporting what makes our state so special- our communities, our environment, and our way of celebrating every single thing with a festival. I enjoy trying new recipes, pretending I’m an outdoorsy person, and spending time with family.
